01 · The Founding Idea

It began with a simple belief.

Sporting Pearls Football Academy was established in 2020 as a community-based football initiative in Kilifi County — created to give young people access to quality football development and positive life opportunities.

Every young person deserves an opportunity to discover and develop their potential — regardless of their background.

The Founding IdeaCreate an environment where young people can develop football ability while building character, discipline and opportunity for life.
The First FoundationFootball was the entry point. The deeper ambition was youth development through sport — structure, mentorship and belonging.
Community RootsThe academy's identity grew from a desire to create meaningful opportunities for local young people, families and schools.

Our journey, chapter by chapter.

What began as a football initiative is being developed into a broader community institution.

Over the years the academy has grown systems covering football development, coaching, girls' and women's football, education and life skills, safeguarding, leadership, community engagement, partnerships, governance and institutional development.
